Can I make an exchange?

If you're in the U.S., we offer direct exchanges for a different size, color or length of any in-stock item, excluding final sale or underwear purchases, if purchased online. We do not offer direct exchanges for different styles at this time. If you wish to exchange an item for a different style, we recommend creating a return for store credit and using that store credit to place a new order. Direct exchanges are not available for items purchased in-store.

Exchanges are not guaranteed and exchange inventory is not reserved for you until you mail back your items or bring them to a Happy Returns location. Because of this, we recommend dropping off the item you wish to exchange ASAP after creating the return. 

To start an exchange online, log in to your Everlane account and head to your Orders & Returns page, and click the "Start a Return" button next to the order you wish to return. If you checked out as a guest, you can start your exchange process here instead. Select the item you wish to exchange and follow the steps to select a reason and return method. Repeat this process for each item you wish to return or exchange then follow the steps to receive your QR code for your Happy Returns dropoff or your prepaid return label for your mail-in exchange. 

Once you have dropped off the return at a Happy Returns Bar or the carrier has scanned it for your mail-in return, you will receive an email confirmation with your exchange order details. You'll receive an additional email once your exchange item has shipped. Please note that exchange shipments will ship to the address on the original order and with the same shipping speed. We are unable to edit the delivery address of exchange orders. 

Want to make an exchange directly at one of our retail locations instead? Just head to your local store, provide them with the order number or email address used to place the order, and they’ll take it from there. Keep in mind that store assortments are limited. If they don't have the item you need for an exchange, our store teams can help by placing an order to ship directly to you with free expedited shipping.
